How To Book A Trip For Las Vegas Events

By Patty Goff

Las Vegas, sometimes called just Vegas, is the capital city of Nevada, and a popular tourist destination. The reputation of the city has often focused on its many casinos and gambling venues. However, there are many other Las Vegas Events which are held there every year which also attract tourists. These events include live shows, sports events and various performances by artists.

Many people like doing water sports; however, being in the desert, the beach is not very close by. So, to get some water activity, many visitors go to the Bellagio, where they have a large, Italian villa, with an indoor fountain. Guests can spend the day at the fountain and enjoy getting wet, which can be a cool relief from the hot sun.

One of the most popular shows available there is the Cirque du Soleil performances. These acrobatics are enjoyed by children and adults, who are often fascinated by the shows that are put on by the group. Every show is different, but many of them have swimmers, divers and aerialists. Sometimes there are also clowns performing acrobatics.

Weddings are also very popular in Las Vegas. Many people who do not want a traditional wedding, or who just want to elope, travel to the city to get married. There are many wedding chapels in the area, including the Little White Wedding Chapel. This is where Frank Sinatra and Mia Farrow got married, so it has become somewhat famous. Many chapels also offer Elvis impersonators for those who like that style of wedding.

Many people also enjoy the allure and mystery of seeing a magic show. There are several magic shows performed in the city, which attract many guests. Magicians such as David Copperfield, Siegfried & Roy and Criss Angel have all performed their magic shows in Las Vegas.

There are also various museums open to the public. The Atomic Testing Museum is a former weapons testing facility that provides memorabilia to the public about the nuclear weapons history of the United States. There is also a Mob Museum located Downtown, which details how the mob was involved with the development of the city over the decades.

Of course, guests also come to city to do some shopping, as there are many boutiques and stores along the Strip. The Strip is very long, and its takes all day to walk from one end to the other. However, visitors can take the double-decker buses to save time. For the kids, Legoland is also nearby.

Throughout the year, the city hosts many popular events, such as boxing matches and MMA fights. If this interests you, you should keep an eye on regular sports news so that you can book your trip at the time of the evens. If you just want to get away from the bright lights and crowds for a while, you can also visit Rancho Drive or the Las Vegas Springs Preserve, which offers botanical gardens, museum exhibits and nature trails.
