However, the mistake made by new marketers is that they make goals that are larger than life and then when they see the hurdles, they quit. If you want to find success, you must be able to make goals that are attainable. Then go slowly, going step by step, until you reach them one by one. You don't want to just have a main goal, but instead break it into smaller ones. If you were to ask a successful internet marketer how they found success, they'd tell you they set a main goal and then followed small steps until they reached it.

In other words, let's say you want to make a $100,000 by the end of the year, which is completely possible with Internet marketing. You must break that goal down into smaller chunks so that you can reach your goal by the deadline you've set. Apart from that, you must have a main goal in mind because smaller goals won't get you where you want to go. Although your main goal will be split into smaller, more manageable goals, your main goal will have to be focused on if you want success. You can find financial freedom with internet marketing but first you must learn how to go about it. Another mistake that Internet marketers make is actually something that should be avoided from day one, which is not having a direct response sales copy on your website. Unlike the real world where you can just communicate with someone to buy your product, you must rely on sales copy to convince prospects to buy. That's why a sales letter is necessary that lists why they should buy your product. You can't just create general sales copy, as you must appeal to prospects emotions and have them buy out of impulse. You must also let them know why your products are beneficial to them if you want to make a sale.

Not knowing your product inside out is a mistake.

When marketing a product online, whether it is yours or it's an affiliate product, not knowing all there is to know about a product is a big mistake. Your prospects will be able to eye your lack of knowledge about the product the moment you start promoting it to them. So always promote a product only when you're sure about it in every sense. If you can stay away from these internet marketing mistakes, and you see just how important they are, you'll find the success you're after.
