Know How To Grow Your Blog

By Shirley Cox

Once you have your blog set up with a domain and you think that the audience are going to enjoy reading your content, you may be thinking that you can sit back and watch the page views escalating. However, unfortunately, it doesn't work like this. Learning how to grow your blog is essential, otherwise it will just be lost out there.

There are various methods available, but it will depend on the type of blog you are publishing and the audience that you are trying to create. In some cases, growth takes place faster. There are blogs which are filled with articles, and those which contain videos. People will share their content on most of the social media sites as well.

It can depend on the blog, and where you market it. It also depends on what type of marketing you do. Some people decide to use Facebook, but find that this is not the correct option for them. Other people find that their website begins to grow as soon as they include videos.

You need to decide more on the audience and who is going to be viewing your content. When it is a middle aged audience who are looking at images of food and decorating, you will want to place images on Pinterest and Instagram. These are good social media networks to think about because they contain images. Twitter won't be effective in a case like this because you don't want to describe recipes.

You may want to find people who will be interested in your blog in other channels, such as other food groups and forums. When you comment, make sure that you leave the website address behind. It is a good idea to connect with other bloggers. It is a lot of work to get to this point, but you will begin to notice the different.

When you post on blogs which have a high reputation, you will begin to notice a difference, as you will rise in the rankings in the search engines. Bloggers also needs to be relevant in terms of what people are looking for in the search engines. This means that you need to know about keywords. However, it is essential that you find the balance. Stuffing articles with keywords is going to cause problems for you.

Bloggers who are pushy, creating pop ups when a person logs onto the site will send their subscribers away. You can't force people to join your social media page or to sign up with them. However, you can subtly encourage someone to share. You can add sharing buttons with a slogan underneath the article.

Many people will share an article, but when there is no sharing button, you will lose out. Make sure that you have a visible button which allows the person to share your content. This is not a way of being pushy. You are simply encouraging them to like what you have written about.
